Peter Ellis is a Human Resource consultant based in Sydney who specializes in Executive, Managerial and Project Teams Coaching in the Asia Pacific region.

Peter uses an outcomes-focused assessment and coaching approach with structured or more flexible formats to fit the level of management and the desired outcomes. He leverages his vast cross-cultural experience and his history of supporting management at regional, country, and business unit level to facilitate behavioral change and help leaders achieve their business and personal goals.

Peter brings to the table a particularly strong exposure to coaching within industrial organisations underpinned by a strong career background and understanding of the business culture and communication style of these corporations. They include businesses within the construction, manufacturing, engineering, project management, EPC, utility, communication, resources and the distribution and supply sectors.

He has completed over 500 assessment and coaching assignments for local employees and expatriates at senior, mid-management and high potential levels in India, the United States, Mexico, Canada, Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Japan, Korea, South Africa, Vietnam, China, New Zealand and a number of countries in the Middle East.

Peter in recent years has expanded his coaching focus into working with teams on major projects. Conflicts and lack of synergies between groups on projects has long been seen as a major contributor to cost and time over-runs. Coaching focuses on building trust between teams and taking into account decisions and actions and their impact on “other teams” and “what is best for project”.

Prior to moving into coaching Peter held senior Human Resource management positions for over twenty years for the Swiss based ABB group including Vice President for Asia Pacific based in Hong Kong and earlier as Country Human Resource Manager for Australia and New Zealand.

He has a Bachelor of Commerce and has completed his Executive Coaching training through the Institute of Executive Coaching in Sydney.
